California Sports Surfaces Partners with Pickleball Australia Association for CoolTop® Technology Integration

California Sports Surfaces Partners with Pickleball Australia for Revolutionary Court Surfaces

Exciting news for pickleball enthusiasts in Australia! California Sports Surfaces (CSS) has teamed up with the Pickleball Australia Association to bring their innovative CoolTop® Cool Pigment Technology to new courts across the country. This partnership aims to support the growth of pickleball by providing state-of-the-art playing surfaces that enhance the overall playing experience.

One of the highlights of this collaboration is the demonstration pickleball court that will be showcased at the 2024 National Sports Convention in Melbourne. This event is a premier gathering for the sports industry in Australia, offering a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing the latest innovations in sports technology.

Attendees at the convention will have the opportunity to witness CoolTop® in action, with professional pickleball players demonstrating matches on the court. Visitors can also learn about the rules of pickleball, try their hand at playing on the court, and engage with experts from both the PAA and California Sports Surfaces.

CoolTop® is designed to reduce surface temperatures on acrylic sports courts, allowing players to stay cooler and play longer. This technology not only enhances the playing experience but also extends the lifespan of the court by preventing excessive heating and cooling that can lead to degradation over time.

With the rising popularity of pickleball in Australia and around the world, CoolTop® offers a sustainable and high-performance solution for new court constructions. The partnership between CSS and Pickleball Australia aims to provide fit-for-purpose courts that meet the growing demand for dedicated pickleball facilities.

Caroline Field, Vice President and General Manager of CSS in Australia and Asia Pacific, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “New, dedicated pickleball courts are a necessity as a wide variety of athletes continue to take up the game. It has become one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.” She emphasized the importance of using the right surface technologies to support the sport’s growth.

As part of the partnership, CSS will provide support to Pickleball Australia in assisting local clubs and recreation facilities with the construction and maintenance of pickleball courts. This includes access to CSS’ network of accredited applicators/contractors and technical advice from ICP Group, CSS’ parent company.
