Connor Barwin Hosts Make The World Better Pickleball Tournament in Sea Isle City
Are you a fan of pickleball or just looking for a fun way to support a great cause? Former Philadelphia Eagle Connor Barwin is hosting the Make The World Better Pickleball Tournament in Sea Isle City for the second year in a row, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss!
The tournament will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the pickleball courts on 42nd Place, with an after-party at Dockside on Park Place. The rain date is Sunday, so mark your calendars and get ready for a day of friendly competition and fundraising.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Barwin’s charity, Make The World Better (MTWB), which he founded with his mother in 2013. The charity’s mission is to create high-quality, accessible, and fun gathering places for communities to enjoy.
Last year’s tournament was a huge success, generating a lot of interest and support. This year, the event has already sold out of individual teams, but there are still a few sponsorship opportunities available. If you’re interested in sponsoring the event or joining the waiting list for a team, reach out to MTWB on social media.
Barwin, who now works in the Eagles front office, is passionate about giving back to the community. He credits his parents for inspiring him to start MTWB and make a positive impact on the world. Joining him at last year’s tournament were retired Eagles player Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, who are also active in fundraising efforts.
