Ogdensburg International Seaway Festival: A Week of Music, Games, and Tournaments
The Ogdensburg International Seaway Festival is back and better than ever! From July 20 to July 28, the city will come alive with music, games, tournaments, and more. This annual event is a highlight for both residents and visitors, drawing in crowds from near and far.
One exciting addition to this year’s festival is the pickleball tournament. With the growing popularity of pickleball, organizers have seen a great response with 40 to 60 people already signed up. If interest continues to grow, they may even need to add an extra day of games. This is just one of the many activities planned for the week, alongside the traditional favorites like the Battle of the Bands, parade, and fireworks.
But the success of the festival wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community. Organizers are always looking for donations and volunteers to help make the event even bigger and better. By purchasing merchandise like buttons and t-shirts, you can show your support and help fund the festival.
While carnival rides may not be making a return this year, there are still plenty of activities to enjoy. From a classic car show to live music at library park, there is something for everyone. And don’t forget about the craft show, tug of war contests, and petting zoo.
The Seaway Festival is a true community effort, with sponsors playing a crucial role in its success. If you’re interested in making a donation or volunteering, reach out to Chris Cole at 315-393-3518. Let’s come together to support this beloved event and make this year’s festival the best one yet!
