Exciting New Events Coming to Okotoks: Cornhole and Pickleball Tournaments to Support Local Charities
Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to support local charitable organizations? Look no further than the upcoming cornhole and pickleball tournaments hosted by the Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce!
These first-time events are sure to be a hit, with the cornhole tournament supporting the Simpora Foundation on August 22 and the pickleball tournament supporting the Foothills Country Hospice’s expansion on September 26. Both events are open to the public and local businesses/chamber members, so gather your friends and colleagues for a day of friendly competition and giving back to the community.
Executive Director Dawn LeMaistre explains that these tournaments are meant to be casual social events, perfect for meeting new people and having a great time while supporting important causes. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, everyone is welcome to participate and have fun.
Not only will you have a blast at these tournaments, but you’ll also be making a difference in the community. Half of the registration and sponsorship funds from each event will go directly to the chosen charity, along with all funds raised on the day of the event.
The cornhole tournament will be held at the Okotoks Best Western Plus, thanks to the support of its owners Roanne and Greg Bodnarchuk, who founded the Simpora Foundation. Registration is already open for the cornhole tournament on August 22, so don’t miss your chance to sign up and support a great cause.
Keep an eye out for registration opening soon for the pickleball tournament on September 26. Get ready to have a fantastic time, meet new people, and give back to the community at these exciting new events hosted by the Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce. See you there!
