Borneo Pickleball International Tournament 2024 Concludes with Exciting Matches and Champions Crowned

The Borneo Pickleball International Tournament 2024 (BPIT) recently concluded with a bang, showcasing the best of pickleball talent from across the region. The four-day tournament, held at Pikabol – Malaysia’s Pickleball Powerhouse, brought together over 500 athletes competing in various categories, including Team Event, Mixed Doubles Veteran, and Novice Doubles.

The tournament was a display of athletic excellence, with seasoned professionals and rising stars giving their all in every match. Spectators were treated to thrilling matches and impressive performances, making it a truly memorable event.

In the Team Event category, Paragon SG emerged as the champions, with Paragon Perfecto securing the Runner-Up spot. The Mixed Doubles Veteran category saw Hari Mohan and Varsha Majmudar clinching the Championship title. Meanwhile, Izzudin Mohd Razali and Afiq Aziz impressed in the Novice Doubles category, taking the top spot.

The winners were honoured in a grand awards ceremony, with YB Datuk Snowdan Lawan presenting the medals on stage. The event also received praise from sponsors, including the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Sarawak Energy Berhad, and Starbucks, for their support in making the tournament a success.

Ruslan Bujang, Chairman of BPIT 2024, expressed gratitude to the tournament’s key partners and highlighted the importance of community and sport in bringing people together. With plans already in motion for the next BPIT, the tournament continues to be a platform for players to showcase their skills and for fans to enjoy the excitement of pickleball.
