Top Local Fourth of July Celebrations to Experience in 2024
With the Fourth of July just around the corner, it’s time to start planning how you want to celebrate America’s independence. Whether you’re looking for a small, family-friendly event or a big, bustling celebration, there are plenty of options to choose from in the local area.
One of the most anticipated events is the North Ogden Cherry Days, running from June 29 to July 6. This annual celebration offers a wide range of activities for all ages, including pickleball tournaments, a family luau, a carnival, and even a movie in the park. The highlight of the event is the Fourth of July parade on Washington Boulevard, featuring a kids’ parade and the main parade starting at 10 a.m.
If you’re looking for a more traditional celebration, head over to Huntsville Square on July 4. Huntsville City has a packed schedule of events, including a breakfast in the park, a 5K and 1-mile run, a car show, live music, and a fireworks show in the evening. The parade, honoring the heroes of 1776, will start at 10 a.m. and wind through the streets of Huntsville.
For a week-long celebration, check out Riverdale City’s 2024 Old Glory Days Celebration from June 28 to July 4. The festivities include a movie in the park, swim night, and a variety of free events. On July 4, the day kicks off with a cannon blast at 6 a.m., followed by a 5K race, parade, street entertainment, booths, inflatables, and a car show. The celebration will end with a spectacular fireworks show at 10 p.m.
