Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex Unveils Largest Facility in Rocky Mountains

The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is on the brink of unveiling its newest facility, set to become the largest of its kind in the Rocky Mountains and the second largest in Colorado. This state-of-the-art complex boasts 12 tennis courts, six indoor and six outdoor, as well as 20 pickleball courts, including a brand new 35,000-square-foot pickleball facility.

The pickleball center features 12 cushioned indoor gel-coated courts, new lighting, playback cameras, a pro shop, community room, dedicated mezzanine level for tournament viewing and entertainment, and more. The expansion project, with a price tag of $12.5 million, was privately funded with $7.6 million raised by the community and the remaining $5 million secured through a loan.

Local builders and design firms worked tirelessly to ensure the facility prioritized the player experience. Expert vendors specializing in court design and lighting were brought in to create a top-notch facility. Each court is equipped with high-quality cameras for athletes and coaches to analyze performance, watch instant replays, or live stream tournaments.

The pickleball center has already garnered national attention and is set to host the Colorado UPA State Championship Series, showcasing the top amateur pickleball players in the state. Additionally, the complex will host its first fundraising event, the Center Court Smash, to kick off the new Courting Love campaign aimed at refreshing and renovating the tennis center and its bubble.

With the completion of this impressive facility, the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is poised to become a premier destination for tennis and pickleball enthusiasts, both locally and from afar. The community’s support and dedication to this project have truly made it a remarkable achievement.
